What does membership involve?
By joining the network, you become part of a community working to strengthen collaboration, knowledge exchange, and visibility within pig science.
To support communication and collaboration, members are included in our internal member database (and, where relevant, the member map). This allows us to connect people with complementary expertise, facilities, and interests, and to facilitate new partnerships and joint initiatives.
Membership is intended for active engagement. We therefore encourage members to:
remain reachable via the contact information provided, and
respond to relevant requests (e.g., collaboration opportunities, events, surveys, or network updates).
Members who choose to join one or more subgroups (Outreach, Research, Teaching, News, Integrative outputs, Network) are invited to contribute more actively. Subgroup participation may include joining meetings, supporting tasks, or taking responsibility for small activities, depending on availability and interest.
In short: we welcome both light and active engagement — but we encourage members to join with the intention of contributing to the network community.
Code of conduct
We aim to foster an open, friendly, and collaborative community. Members are expected to interact respectfully and professionally, remain open-minded to diverse perspectives, and contribute to a constructive environment. Behaviour that is discriminatory, harassing, or disrespectful is not acceptable.
